NATCHEZ &8212; The rainy weather did not make the baptism of Scott and Brandi Dillon&8217;s four-month-old son Christopher any less of a special occasion.

Saturday, Brandi and Scott&8217;s families gathered in St. Mary Basilica to welcome their first-born son into the Catholic Church.

&8220;We (the Dillon and William families) were home for Christmas holidays, so we thought this would be an appropriate time to baptize Chris,&8221; Scott said.

Scott, his older brother, Jason, and Brandi live in Fairhope, Ala.

After the baptism, grandmother Cheryl Dillon was proud at little Christopher&8217;s reaction to the holy water sprinkled on his forehead.

&8220;He just kind of looked, he didn&8217;t cry or anything,&8221; Cheryl said.

Jason said he was excited about Scott asking him to be the godfather of Christopher and felt &8220;it was an honor to do it.&8221;

Scott said he hopes Jason will teach Christopher about the importance of being in the outdoors and how to be a good man.
