Mary Schwaller

Services for Mary D. Schwaller, 82, a former service officer for the Coahoma County Veterans Office and retired secretary and bookkeeper for Stribling Farms and T. M. Luster Farms, who died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at Claiborne County Nursing Center at Port Gibson, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at the Oakridge Cemetery under the direction of Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home, Clarksdale.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Schwaller graduated from Harrisburg High School in Harrisburg, Ark. She was a member of the Womens Club and Home Extension Club. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Clarksdale where she taught Sunday School for 17 years and sang in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Schwaller; parents, J. W. and Mattie Ainsworth; and brothers, Buddy and Billy Ainsworth.
Survivors include her daughter, Jan Simpson and her husband, Garry, of Vidalia; sister, Lea Hampton and her husband, Lloyd, of Evansville, Ind.; brothers, Donnie Ainsworth and Jerry Ainsworth and his wife, Rose Mary, all of Cleveland; grandson, Reid Simpson of Vidalia; several nieces and nephews.
