Sheriff’s office arrests man on molestation

A Vidalia man was arrested by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office on charges of child molestation and sexual battery Tuesday.
Charles D. Ables, 42, 215 Ron Road, was charged with four counts of molestation and two counts of sexual battery of a juvenile after the sheriff’s office received a complaint Tuesday involving the suspect.
Ables is being held on $145,000 bond at the Concordia Parish Correctional Facility.
Thursday Sheriff Randy Maxwell said the case was still under investigation.
