Services for Sue Hester Lyons, 89, of Atmore, Ala., formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, in Atmore, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Morgantown Baptist Church with Dr. Edgar Wright and the Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the church.
Mrs. Lyons was born Aug. 16, 1917, in Hamburg, the daughter of Ephraim Lee and Esther Mae Haley Hester.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Prentiss A. Lyons.
Survivors include her daughters, Bobby Sue Brewer of Brandon and Dianne Leachman of Atmore; grandchildren, Susan B. Hicks and Carolyn S. Brewer, both of Brandon, Deborah B. Mizell and her husband, Glenn, of Natchez, Trish B. Case and her husband, Dusty, of Denham Springs, Tammy L. Chlebowski and her husband, Joe, of Lake Ann, Mich., and Prentiss Jarrod Leachman and his wife, Angela, of Atmore, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Kit Leachman, Haley Leachman, Jake Leachman, Amanda M. Hodges and her husband, Ben, Ben Edwards, Gage Edwards, Kelly Case, Lindsey Case, Brittany Case and Peyton Snyder; great-great-grandchildren, Josh Hodges and Grayson Hodges.
Pallbearers will be Billy Smith, Wayne Hester, Glen Mizell, Dusty Case, Alvin Lyons, and Calvin Lyons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Larry Hester, and Calvin Herring.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Library of First Baptist Church of Atmore, AL., 128 South Main Street, Atmore, AL 36502 or the Library of Morgantown Baptist Church of Natchez.
