Dr. Joseph Dyer

Services for Dr. Joseph M. Dyer, 81, of Baton Rouge, who died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Baton Rouge General Hospital-Midtown, will be 11 a.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Lundy officiating.
Burial will follow at Port Hudson National Cemetery, in Zachary, La., under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home, Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Dr. Dyer was born March 14, 1925, in Baton Rouge, the son of George and Josephine Betz Dyer. He was a dentist for over 40 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Spencer Dyer; sons, Julius Kleinpeter and Dr. Chad C. Dyer and his fiancé Suchitra Sapathi; daughter, Jacy M. Dyer; sister, Jean Dyer Patin and husband, Charles; grandson, Spencer Joseph Kleinpeter, all of Baton Rouge; in-laws, Lloyd and Mary V. Baptiste, Dr. John and Vanessa Spencer, Leonard Spencer and his fiancé Andrea Mathes, Bobby Spencer; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
