The ACCS Lady Rebels will be looking to improve their shooting percentages from the field after edging by Centreville Academy on the road Thursday and falling to Parklane on Saturday.

The Lady Rebels survived a close game last Thursday against Centreville Academy.

ACCS head coach Chuck Bauerle said things might have been different for the Lady Rebels on Thursday if team leading scorer Adriana DeLasalle had not stepped up big in the third quarter.

ACCS fell to Parklane by 28 points on Saturday as DeLasalle was limited to just 13 points.

Vikings to step up with district play coming up

As Tuesday approaches, so does the increase in intensity for Vidalia.

On Tuesday the Vikings will open up their district schedule against Ferriday, who has beaten the Vikings twice already this season in tournament play.

Vidalia head coach Robert Sanders said there are several key things his team must do in order to be successful in district play.

“We must always win home games, and steal what we can on the road. From there we will let the chips fall where they may.”

Sanders said from a fundamental standpoint, the Vikings must step things up on defense, improve on the boards and take better shots.

He said after the team’s second district match up on Friday against Madison, he will have a clearer picture as to which direction his team is heading as it takes on the heart of its schedule.
