Dodge Bacon

Services for Dodge Martin Bacon, 44, of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Friday at King Solomon Baptist Church with the Rev. James Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Bacon was born July 24, 1962, in Natchez, the son of John B. Bacon and Mable L. Bacon. He was a 1980 graduate of North Natchez High School. He later earned a CDL license and was employed as a cross country driver for KLLM. Also, he was a driver for other local trucking companies. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mable L. Bacon; sister, John Harris Thomas; paternal and maternal grandparents; several aunts, uncles, a great niece; and two nephews.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, John and Sadie Bacon; brothers, Henry Lee Harris and Xavier Bacon, both of Natchez, and Charles Bacon and wife, Valerie, of Jackson; sisters, Jessie I. Harris Lewis and husband, Willie, Mary A. Bacon Fleming, and Sybil Bacon Green, all of Natchez; stepsisters, Diane Carter and Glenda Ferguson, both of Natchez; aunts; uncles; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
