Services for Doretha Francis Reed, 84, of Alexandria, formerly of Ferriday, who died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital, in Alexandria, will be 7 p.m. today at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Hamilton officiating.

Burial will follow 11 a.m. Saturday at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home, Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Reed was born Nov. 1, 1922, in Washington, La. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Reed Sr.; and nine siblings.

Survivors include a son, William Reed Jr. of Alexandria; a daughter, Esther Reed Hamilton and husband, Willie J., of Alexandria; granddaughter, Norricha Harris of Monroe; sister, Lorraine Randolph of Boston; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
