Services for Annie Marie Harris, 73, of Irving, Texas, who died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at Texas Specialty Hospital, in Dallas, Texas, will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Baptist Church with Elder William J. Harper officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral System.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Mrs. Harris was born Oct. 26, 1933, in Lake Providence, La., the daughter of Lehman and Willie H. Griffin. She was employed as a L.N.A. and as a private sitter at Natchez Community Hospital. She was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, in Vidalia, and Calvary Church in Irving, Texas. She enjoyed helping people and reading the Bible.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Harris; her parents; brothers, Leonard Griffin and Lehman Griffin Jr.; and grandson, Tracy Simpson.

Survivors include her children, Evelyn Davis, Ivan Harris and wife, Beverly, all of Irving, Texas, Leonard K. Harris and wife, Candice, of Venice, Texas, Carolyn McGee of Fayette; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Zelma Harris and husband, Neal, of Chicago, June Vanderson of Meridian and special sister, Orma Jean James of Vidalia; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Lehman D. Griffin, Leo Lewis, Adolph Butler Jr., Gerald Pearl, Patrick Jones and Archie Davis.
