Services for Mattie Mae Reed, 72, of Bude, who died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at King Daughters Hospital, in Brookhaven, will be 11 a.m. Sunday at Bude Church of God In Christ with Elders George Marshall and Anthony Wilcher officiating.

Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Whiteapple Road in Franklin County, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home, Bude.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mrs. Reed was born Nov. 27, 1934, in Franklin County, the daughter of Willie Smith Sr. and Mattie Campbell Smith Fleming. She served faithfully on the Mother’s Board at Bude Church of God In Christ until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Reed; her parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include a loving and devoted husband, Jim Reed of Bude; five sisters, Georgia Smith and Maggie Bearthfield, both of Bude, Joann Hall and husband, Vel, of Dallas, Texas, Vergie M. Tutt of Ohio and Wilhemenia Spice of Louisville, Ken.; brother, Willie Smith Jr. of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
