Antonio Jordan scored 21 points and was a shot-blocking machine in the first quarter and Stan Hazlip chipped in with 12 points as the Hounds were completely dominating in the first half as they rolled to a 32-point, 69-37 win over the Eagles Saturday night.
Porters Chapel was no match for Huntington (22-3), ranked No. 1 in Class A, and it showed in the first half. The Hounds raced out to a 26-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and by the time halftime arrived, they enjoyed a commanding 46-14 lead.

NATCHEZ — The Trinity Saints put their three-game winning streak on the line against the top-ranked and defending Class AA State champion Brookhaven Academy Cougars Saturday night at Clyde Adams Arena.
The Cougars entered the game with a 20-3 record, including a recent win over then-No. 1 Indianola Academy, proving they are among the elite teams in Class AA even though four members of last season’s starting five graduated.
But despite an amazing scoring display by T-Boy Lynch in the fourth quarter, it wasn’t enough as the Saints pulled off a huge upset with a 59-53 win over the Cougars thanks to solid performances by Stevan Ridley, Jon Davis King and Matthew Freeman.
Lynch almost single-handily brought Brookhaven Academy back from a 12-point deficit after three quarters of play as he scored 22 of the team’s 24 points in the fourth quarter and finished with a game-high 28 points.
But Trinity made 14 of 24 free throws in the fourth quarter and the Cougars were called for 18 fouls in the second half, resulting in four players fouling out. Ridley led Trinity (10-7) with 19 points. King finished with 15 points and Freeman had 12 points.
The third quarter was another key to the Saints’ stunning win as they outscored the Cougars18-3 to turn a 26-23 deficit at halftime into a 41-29 lead at the end of the quarter.
Sawyer Wallace scored 18 points for Brookhaven Academy (20-4), but he and Lynch got very little help from their teammates.

Copiah Academy played well against ACCS in the first half and trailed by just two points, 19-17, at halftime. But the second half belonged to the Lady Rebels as Guedon and Ariana DeLaSalle, who had 16 points, led the charge.
The Lady Rebels outscored the Lady Colonels 11-4 in the third quarter and 13-8 in the fourth quarter. Amanda Pyron and Emily Fahner led Copiah with nine points each.

Brookhaven Academy girls 56, Trinity Episcopal 42
NATCHEZ — After getting off to a slow start, the Lady Cougars took control of the game by outscoring the Lady Saints 16-8 in the second quarter en route to a 14-point win Saturday night.
The Lady Cougars (25-3) are ranked No. 2 in Class AA, but they didn’t play that way on the offensive end in the first quarter. By the time the quarter was over, they were tied with the Lady Saints 7-7.
The second quarter proved to be the turning point in the game as Brookhaven Academy’s offense finally got thing going while its defense still made things tough for Trinity (9-12).
The Lady Saints were led by Eliza Jones with nine points and Brandy Hall with eight points. Casey Smith led the Lady Cougars with 11 points and Holly Case had 10 points.
Copiah Academy boys 66, ACCS 36
NATCHEZ — Hunter Greer and Jake Guess combined to score more points – 37 – than ACCS scored as a team as they led the Colonels to a 30-point win over the Rebels Saturday night.
