Cheryl McClure has been named district clerk at the Adams County Soil and Water Conservation District.
She has been in the position since Jan. 8, returning to Natchez after being away for two years.
McClure was the former Adams County Extension Service director. Working with Jan Gray, former district clerk, and the Conservation District during her tenure with the Extension Service helped her to make the transition into the new position, she said.
McClure has two daughters, both attending Mississippi State University, and two grandchildren.
