Social security worth a look

Social Security was 1 percent of your compensation but now its over 12 percent.
It’s the No. 1 government “create dependency” program. The Democrats taxed it again under Clinton. They hunger to do it soon. The Democrats refuse to allow any younger workers the “invest some in conservative stocks-bonds option” at any level because: that means more individual freedom (liberals hate options). A Republican proposed the idea, it should work, it would remove an election issue they love to demagogue and it may hatch more such financial ideas.
Ideas, no … finger pointing for decades, yes!
About 100 million working voting people now invest in 401(k)s, IRAs or CDs but Democrats believe you simply cannot be trusted with your own money for your own retirement. Go figure. So you are stuck with the 1 percent return on social security plus the fact its not inheritable so if you die early (ex: age 55) Uncle Sugar keeps all or nearly all.
Congress spent mega billions of social security money to buy votes and left the treasury with a stack of I.O.U.s. Thanks a yahoo. Ignore what is said, watch what is done (and look up the voting history). I dare you.
