Local doctor Arnold Feldman, director of The Pain Treatment Center, was the invited guest speaker at the International 25th Jubilee Course for Percutaneous Endoscopic Spinal Surgery and Complementary Minimal Invasive Techniques at the Bethania Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland on Jan. 25 and 26.
Feldman gave the first presentation on a new, novel minimally invasive lumbar disc treatment system.
The system Feldman uses, known as Disc-FX, was recently cleared by the Food and Drug Administration based on a technology used successfully in over 20,000 spine surgeries. Disc-FX enables the spine surgeon the opportunity to perform a more complete procedure compared to what is currently offered as options to patients. The “3 in 1” technique on the disc is performed under local anesthesia. The indications for the Disc-FX system are contained lumbar herniated discs and disc degeneration.
Feldman is a minimally invasive spine specialist and both a clinical investigator and instructor of multiple minimally invasive spine technologies.
