Services for Emell Jackson, 67, of New Orleans, formerly of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, in Vidalia, from injuries received in an auto-pedestrian accident, were held 1 p.m. Monday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Zenobia H. Batieste officiating.

Burial followed at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Mr. Hargrove was born June 9, 1939, in Gonzales, the son of Jerry Jackson and Olivia Hargrove. He was a retired longshoreman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sisters, Barbara Hargrove of Gonzales and Evangelist Zenobia H. Batiste and husband, Veloas, of Prairieville; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
