Services for Helen Chapman Andrews, 82, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at her residence, will be 1 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jack Tier and Randy Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday.
Mrs. Andrews was born July 10, 1924, in Jonesville, the daughter of Joseph Calvin Chapman and Bessie Chapman. She was a homemaker and a member of Hill Memorial Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Albert Chapman, Herbert Chapman, Joseph C. Chapman Jr. and Ezra Chapman.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Fred Andrews of Ferriday; sons, Fred “Buddy” Andrews Jr. and wife, Vickie, of Coco, Fla. and Keith Andrews and wife, Kaye, of Ferriday; daughters, Carol Grant and husband, Terry, of Ferriday and Alice “Cookey” Johnson and husband, Nathan, of Ruth; brothers, Frank Chapman of Harrisonburg, Clifton Chapman of Vidalia, Byron Chapman of Hattiesburg, and Barry Chapman of Hattiesburg; sisters, Shirley Amelunke of Ferriday and Velma Lea Palmer of West Monroe; sister-in-law/sister, Faye Holley of Monroeville, sister-in-law, Ruth Andrews of Harrisonburg; grandchildren, Penelope Voerner, Jennifer Middleton, Lande Johnson, Jamie Hargis, Abbey Segrest, Jordan Johnson, Nick Andews, Natasha Petrie, Leah Johnson, Erin Johnson and Sarah Johnson; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Nick Andrews, Lande Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Robbie Hargis, Leigh Middleton and Robert Segrest.
