Services for John Paul Rachal, 46, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Natchez Regional Medical Center will be 1 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Revs. Bart Walker and Steve Pearson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Rachal was born Oct. 17, 1961, in Monroe, La., the son of Otis John Rachal and Glenda Smith Rachal. He loved Trinity football.

He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, James Tanner; maternal grandmother, Lela Tanner; and nephew, Garret Tyler Rachal.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Scarlett Rachal; sons, John Christian Rachal and wife, Stephanie, and James Ryan Rachal; daughter, Sandy Rachal Davidson and husband, Stan; granddaughter, KaLeigh Rachal Davidson; sister Penny Moore, all of Natchez; brother, James Otis Rachal and wife, Glennis of Houston, Texas; niece, Trini Rachal and nephew, Joshua Rachal, both of Biloxi; mother-in-law, Sandra Fulmer and husband, Steve; father-in-law, Donald Shupe and wife, Alice; and brother-in-law, John Shupe II, all of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Greg Ketchings, Rudy WIlson, Jimmy Jones, David King, Lewie Sandel, John Shupe II and Barry Givens.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gregory Ketchings, Chase Brown, Freddie Sandel, Rand Davidson, Brandon Davidson, Seth Barlow, Kyle Ketchings, Joshua Rachal and the 2004 Trinity football team.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity Athletic Booster Club.
