Services for Woodrow Griffin, 64, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be noon today at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Howard officiating.

Burial will follow at Second Union Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Janie B. Whitley Griffin; children, Marvin Griffin and wife, Georgia, Darren A. Griffin and wife, Lisa, and Jackie D. Shelton and husband, Kevin Sr., all of Natchez; grandchildren, Honda J. Griffin, DeQwon D. Griffin, Jasmaine J. Griffin, Kevin M. Shelton Jr. and Shamiya D. Griffin, all of Natchez; sisters, Velvet Flucker and husband, Joe, of Detroit, Mich., Flora Smith and husband, Leroy, and Florence McNelly and husband, Norman, of New Orleans, Bobbie Hollins of Springfield, Mass., Viola Smith and husband, Ray, of Hartford, Conn., Debbie A. Hutchins and husband, Francis, and Loretha Guice and husband, Leroy, of Fayette; brothers, Otis Smith of Fayette and Johnell Smith wife, Rossline, of Cannonsburg; father-in-law, Alvato Whitley; godbrother, the Rev. D. W. Howard; and special neighbors, Jerry and Shirley Givens, all of Natchez; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Pallbearers will be Roy Winston, Isiah Brown, Bozell Sewell, Michael Mitchell, Sylvester Harris, and Otis Pinder.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Griffin, Darren A. Griffin, Johnell Smith, Otis Smith, Darnell Barnes and Francis Hutchins.
