Services for Merle Ruth Monk Eagles, 86, of Pineville, who died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Naomi Heights Nursing Home, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carlton Vance officiating.

Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, La., under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Pineville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Eagles was a member of Kingsville Baptist Church and lived in Pineville for 23 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her church and enjoyed working with and ministering to young adults. Her life was filled with acts of service to others and she brought joy to those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Eagles; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Eagles; parents, George Washington and America Welch Monk.

Survivors include her sons, Paul S. Eagles and wife, Kathie, of Vicksburg and Harry C. Eagles and wife, Mary, of Pineville; grandsons, Matthew Eagles and James Eagles, both of Vicksburg, Clayton Eagles and Benjamin Eagles, both of Pineville.
