Services for Olny Russell, 69, of Jonesville, who died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center, West Monroe, will be 1 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Simms officiating.

Burial will follow at Greene Cemetery, Monterey, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Jonesville.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Russell was born Sept. 3, 1937, in Jonesville, the son of Blanchard Olny Russell and Estelle Mae Griffin Russell. He was retired as manager of Russell’s Grocery. Mr. Russell served in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ferbia Greene Russell; and his parents.

Survivors include his daughter, Myra Taylor and husband, Duane, of Winnsboro; son, Raymond O. Russell Jr. and special friend, Annie Belle Adams, of Larto, La.; granddaughters, Lauren Estelle Taylor and Kelsey Leigh Taylor; grandson, Benjamin Russell; and mother of the children, Eloise Donnell and husband, David.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Russell Jr., Junior Wiley, Willford Adams, Stuart Curry, T. J. Curry and Mike Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Noel Wayne Adams, Hub King, Wayne Sanders, Lank Estes and Duane Taylor.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of choice.
