Services for John W. Dawson Sr., 60, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Roy Crum and Brother Jamey Jackson officiaing.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Dawson was born July 23, 1946, in Liberty, the son of Harry Lee and Pearline Crum Dawson.

Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his father; son, John Wiley Dawson Jr.; a brother, Harold Wayne Dawson.

Survivors include his mother, Pearline Crum Dawson of Natchez; and a number of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Pallbearers will be John P. Fox, Allen Burchfield, Eddie Dawson, Homer Crum, Preston Godard and Mike Smith.
