With Cathedral deciding not to play in the Franklin County High School Softball Tournament, coach Dana Smith had to redo the entire schedule for Friday’s games.

And all three teams that played Friday ended up going 1-1 – and they are all in the same pool for this tournament, Pool A.

The last scheduled game of the day turned out to be the first one as the host Lady Bulldogs defeated the Mize Lady Bulldogs 9-3 Friday afternoon. Morgan Knapp went 3-for-3 with a home run and Kristen Oglesby also went 3-for-3,

Franklin County (5-3) ended up with a split of its games after falling to the Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets 3-2 in what was supposed to have been the day’s first game. Enterprise trailed 2-1 after four innings, but rallied with one run each in the top of the fifth and sixth innings.

Mize ended winning the nightcap by defeating Enterprise 5-4. That was originally scheduled to be the second game of the day.
