Funeral services for Mr. Calvin L. Kinney, 92, of Ferriday, who passed away Friday, March 2, 2007 at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday, with the Rev. Kevin Simms and the Rev. Gordon Finley officiating.
Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Kinney was born July 22, 1914, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kinney. He was a resident of Ferriday, a member of the Baptist faith and retired with Chevron Oil Company after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Ann Richards; a son, James Kinney; his wife, Sarah Adelle White Kinney; and a granddaughter, Linda Ann Lewis.
He is survived by his daughters, Minnie Tiffee of Monterey and Virginia Robbins of Ferriday; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tim Richards, Louis Boyd, Andy Magoun, Tony Mitchell, Robert Robbins, Nolan Tiffee, Jay Tiffee and Greg Duncan.
