Services for Melba Charlene Bailey, of Ferriday, who died Friday, March 2, 2007, at the Sabine Hospital, in Hemphill, Texas, will be 10 a.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens, in West Monroe, at 2 p.m. under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Mrs. Bailey and her husband, Kyle Bailey, operated the Kings Hotel and the Bailey Trailer Park in Ferriday.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband, Dalphard LaCaze of Simpson; son, James Robert LaCaze of Schriver; husband, Kyle Bailey Sr. of Ferriday; mother, Josie Inez Walsworth Thompson; father, Robert Garrett Thompson; and sister, Darcus Marie Thompson Humphries of Monroe; two very close friends, Helen Bierden and Charles Mardus, both of Natchez.

Survivors include her daughter, Melba Jenn Roberts and husband, Harold; son, Kyle Bailey and wife, Liz; sister, Mardell Trudnak and husband, Ervin, of Bossier City; grandchildren, Renee LaCaze Duet and husband, Ronnie Duet, Dewanna Holly and husband, Kim, and Jimmy LaCaze and wife, Tina, all of Schriver, Steven Bailey, Matthew Bailey and Butch Williams.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Steven Bailey, Matthew Bailey, Butch Williams, Jimmy LaCaze, Ronnie Duet, and Kim Holly.
