Services for Deborah R. Washington Parks, 50, of Savannah, Ga., formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at St. Joseph Hospital, in Savannah, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Christian Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. John Scott Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Parks was born Feb. 25, 1957, in Natchez, the daughter of Nathaniel Washington Sr. and Annie Mae Fletcher Washington. She was a graduate of North Natchez Class of 1975 and a graduate of Alcorn State University Class of 1979. She was retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Parks Jr. of Savannah; daughter, Tiffany Renne Parks of Savannah; son, Antione LeRae Parks of Savannah; mother, Annie Mae Fletcher Washington of Natchez; father, Nathaniel Washington and wife, Beatrice, of Natchez; siblings, Nathaniel Washington Jr. and wife, Linda, Landolph Washington and wife, Shirley, all of Dallas, Texas, Vincent Washington and wife, Gloria, and Glynn Washington and companion, Thomas Pollard, all of Natchez; stepsisters, Gwen Marshall and husband, John, and Debra Ware, all of Natchez; godchild, Justin Williams of Savannah; seven brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; mother-in-law, Clara Mae Parks of Lexington; grandmother, Katie Mae Fletcher of Natchez; special aunts, Linda Duncan and husband, Leon, of Nashville, Tenn. and Alicia Ellis of Natchez; niece, Tamara Pollard of Natchez; special friends, Annie B. Price and Annie Ruth Wheeler, both of Savannah; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Thurston Washington, Zephaniah Mohammad, Hebert Washington, LaMont Washington, Andre’ Washington, Anazari Rankin and LaVinski Washington.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nathaniel Washington Jr., Landolph Washington, Vincent Washington, Leon Parks, Joe Parks, Timothy Parks and Larry Parks.
