Memorial services of Herman Ray “Pete” White, of Jonesville, who died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Rapides Hospital in Alexandria, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Ganey officiating.

A private burial will follow at Pease Cemetery, in Larto, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Jonesville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Walter S. White and Bertha White McPherson; his mother and stepfather, Effie Paulk White and Herman White; brothers, Walter E. White, Jack T. White and Archie L. White.

Survivors include his cherished companion of 20 years, Markeeta Wise; a son, Bruce Ray White of Los Angeles; daughter, Terri Conley and husband, Jeff, of Dallas; stepson, David Wise and wife, Amy, of Jonesville; grandchildren, Kenda Conley and Collin Conley, both of Dallas; sisters, Marjorie W. Book of Jonesville and Shirley W. Gann of Terrell, Texas; brothers, H. C. White and Carvel White, both of Jonesville and Jimmy White of Mobile, Ala.

Pallbearers will be Ken King, Ben King, Charles “Hub” King, J. R. King, Gary Don Humphries, Ronnie Book, James Glenn Kelly and Benjamin Webb.
