Services for Lance Steven Carpenter, 53, of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Franklin County Hospital, in Meadville, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Lynn Oglesby officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Carpenter was born Aug. 23, 1953, in Brookhaven, the son of Leroy and Margaret Vaughn Carpenter.

Mr. Carpenter was a maintenance electrician with Dynasteel Corporation.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his children, Dawne Carpenter, Jacob Hester, Amanda Stephens and Margaret Carpenter, all of Natchez; brothers, Ken Carpenter and Donnie Carpenter, both of Natchez; five grandchildren; and four nephews.

Pallbearers will be Phil Knoll, Donnie Lane, Alan Perez, Doug White, Michal Pace, James Fairchilds, Jimmy Stephens and Christopher Stephens.
