Mary Womack

Services for Mary Jane Womack, 87, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 2, 2007, in Natchez, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Adam Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Womack was born Jan. 10, 1920, in Winnsboro, the daughter of Jimmy Johnston and Emma Young Johnston. She was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she served as Director of Women’s Missionary Union and Sunday School Teacher. She was retired from J.C. Penney after 28 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Watson Womack; her parents; brothers, J.C. Johnston, Grady Johnston and Willie Johnston; sister, Emma Chevailer; and grandson, David N. Wilson.
Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Landers and husband, R. L. and Shelby Wilson and husband, Tom, all of Hamburg; grandchildren, Sharon Freeman of Natchez, Lane Landers of Hamburg, Tom Wilson III of Vicksburg and Judd Wilson of Clinton; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Graves of Natchez.
