Alene McCaa

Services for Alene Delaney McCaa, 88, of Fayette, Ala., formerly of Natchez, who died Thursday, April 5, 2007, in Fayette, Ala., will be 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel.

Burial will follow at Cool Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, in Franklin County, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCaa was born June 13, 1918, in Franklin County, the daughter of James Quitman Delaney and Eliza Leona Brinson Delaney. She was a homemaker and a long time faithful member of Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church in Natchez.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Joe J. McCaa; and brothers, Willie S. Delaney and D. Curtis Delaney.

Survivors include his daughters, Patricia M. Taylor and husband, Don, of Humble, Texas and JoAnn McCaa of Hattiesburg; son, Hugh McCaa and wife, Shirley, of Fayette, Ala.; grandchildren, Diane McCaa, Ellen T. Bovey and husband, Jon, Rob Taylor, and Matthew McCaa; great-grandchildren, Nic McCaa, Catie, Noah, Allison and Nathaniel Bovey; brother, Sid Delaney and wife, Helen, of Natchez; several nieces, nephews, and many young friends she made while babysitting.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends of the family.
