Services for Dealus Leo Nettles, 84, of Bogue Chitto, who died Friday, April 14, 2007, at Camelot Nursing Home in Ferriday, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Gum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Nettles was born Jan. 3, 1923, the son of Richard and Vertis Nettles. He was a retired manager of Wood Auto Supply in Natchez, where he worked for over 45 years. He was a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church and served in the marines during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mildred Smith Nettles.

Survivors include his daughters, Sheila King of Ferriday and Shirley Porter of Columbia; grandchildren, Bryan Porter, Chad Porter and Lucas Porter, all of Columbia, Jay King of Ferriday and Megan King of Scott, La.; brother, R.E. Nettles of Brookhaven; and sister, Esteen Cupit of Vidalia.
