Brookhaven Academy 11, WCCA 6

BROOKHAVEN — With the Class AA South State playoffs starting next week, the Cougars rested their three pitchers and made a lot of substitutions and were still able to defeat the Rams Saturday night.

After WCCA jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, Brookhaven Academy scored nine unanswered runs to take a 9-2 lead at the end of the second inning. After that inning, the Cougars took their starters out of the game and put in some younger players.

Brennan Bush went 2-for-4 and Joseph Harvey was 2-for-3 for WCCA (9-15).
