VIDALIA — The youth of Calvary Baptist Church in Vidalia are preparing for a mission trip to Chicago during the summer.

They will be working there with an area missionary to help him expand his ministry.

As part of the fundraising for the trip, the Calvary youth group is holding a garage sale Saturday in the parking lot at the corner of Carter Street and Nichols Drive in Vidalia.

This sale will begin at 8 a.m. and will include many items, such as clothes, toys, tables and dishes.

Jack Middleton, minister of youth and education, is in charge of the mission trip as well as the fund-raising sale.

The public is invited to participate in this event.
