NATCHEZ — An 11-year-old allegedly sexually assaulted his 7-year-old adopted brother, according to a report filed with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

In the report, filed Thursday, the mother said her adopted son told his teacher, who told her, about the incident.

Sheriff Ronny Brown said the three brothers, all adopted by different families, were in town for Easter. The alleged suspect lives out of town, he said.

The sheriff’s office turned the case over to the Mississippi Department of Human Services.

“It’s being investigated by DHS, and they’ll take it to youth court,” Brown said.
