Services for Jimmy H. White, 73, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Southwest Regional Medical Center, in McComb, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sycamore Baptist Church with Bro. Richard Cullum officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. White was born April 29, 1933, in Meadville, the son of Claudis White and Willie Lee Mulkey White. He was a past Mason and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, L. W. Twiner, Floyd White and Marvin White; sisters, Maurice Buckhann and Doris Walters.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Smith White of Ridgecrest; sons, Jimmy White and wife, Becky, of Germany and Bobby White and wife, Debbie, of Texarkana, Texas; daughters, Janice Herrington and husband, Cecil, of Clarksville, Texas, Brenda Welch and husband, Mike, of Mendenhall and Wanda Walker and husband, Mike, of Taylorsville; stepsons, Buckshot Chelette and wife, Debbie, of Zachary and Scottie Chelette of Ferriday; brother, Billy Wayne White of Texas; sister, Willie Lee Lofton of Texas; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Welch, Tim Herrington, Jeffrey White, Joseph Walker, Brian Chelette and Dalton Herrington.
