Services for Mary Lee Singleton, 82, of Natchez, who died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark Baptist Church No. 2 with Pastor Kenneth E. Stanton officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Singleton was born in January of 1925, the daughter of Anthony and Josephine Williams. She was employed with Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company and Natchez Pecan Shelling Company from which she retired. She was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church No. 2 where she served as vice president of the Usher Board and as a team captain of the church’s annual fundraiser. Mrs. Singleton enjoyed community service with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph R. Singleton Sr.; a son, Joseph R. Singleton Jr.; and brothers, James Williams Sr. and Jessie Williams.

Survivors include her daughter, Delores M. Saffold and husband, Jerome; her son, Milton E. Singleton and wife, Mary Ellen, all of Natchez; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Singleton of California; sister, Martha Swayze; brother, Dan Williams Sr. and wife, Ruby; sisters-in-law, Daisy Green and Margaret Williams; brother-in-law, Thomas Singleton Sr., all of Natchez; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
