Services for Herschell C. Cockerham, 84, of Jonesville, who died Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Jonesville, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Joel Ford officiating.

Burial will follow at Taylor Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church Monday.

Mr. Cockerham was born Dec. 9, 1922, in Search, La. He was a resident of Jonesville and a retired logger with International Paper Co.

He was preceded in death by his wife Willie McEntyre Cockerham, his parents Joseph E. and Sarah Cockerham and his granddaughter Kristy Mills.

Survivors include two sons, David Cockerham and Dale Cockerham, both of Jonesville; two daughters, Sara Cockerham and Cheryl Cockerham McClure, both of Jonesville; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tony McClure, Donald McNeely, Yosha Goudeau, Freddie Goudeau, Tommy McEntyre and Donnie McEntyre.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Ray Franklin, Joe Cruse, Clarence Pentecost and Jetty McCarthy.
