Services for Marlene Ratcliff Caldwell, 76, of Sicily Island, who died Thursday, May 24, 2007, in Sicily Island, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Clayton Pentecostal Church with Bros. Melton Rushing and Cecil Grantham officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. Caldwell was born May 4, 1931, in Laurel, the daughter of O. T. and Virgie Hill. She was a Certified Nurses Assistant at Riverland Medical Center before retiring as a home health nurse. She was a member of Clayton Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Addison Caldwell; grandson, Greg King; her parents; and sister, Iva Lee Pippen.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Ratcliff and wife, Mary, and Michael Ratcliff, all of Houma; daughters, Christie Coates and husband, Willie of Monterey, Judy King and Vernon Doucet of Indian Bayou, La., Marilyn Ratcliff of Sicily Island, Cynthia Hardie and husband, Jimmy II, of Frogmore, and Jeanette Hardie and husband, Jimmy, of Jonesville; son-in-law, L. J. King Jr.; stepdaughters, Betty Guinn and husband, Louis, Kathy Wilson and husband, Donnie, all of Jonesville, Louise Hester and husband, Carol, and Barbara Ratcliff and husband, Rodney, all of Vidalia; stepsons, Aubrey Caldwell Jr. and wife, Sandy, and Loyd Caldwell and wife, Michelle, all of Natchez; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Shelton Rice, Jason Coates, Mark King, Josh McLeod, John Reeves and George Rice.
