Services for Cammie Burlison Holland, 95, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, in Natchez, will be 10 a.m. today at Parkview Church of God with the Rev. Victor Stewart and the Rev. Paul F. Barker officiating.

Burial will follow at Byrd’s Chapel Cemetery, in Franklin County, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Holland was born Jan. 23, 1912, in Sunflower County, to David and Ruby Rowe Burlison. In 1933 she met Lamar Holland at the Church of God General Assembly in Chattanooga, Tenn. They were married three months later. Mr. and Mrs. Holland began a family soon after and raised their nine children in Franklin and Adams counties. Cammie was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and even greater, a child of God who lived to serve the Lord. At the age of 75, she traveled to the Holy Land where she was baptized in the Jordan River, one among many of the extraordinary events in her life.

Now in the Promised Land, she is joined with her husband of 44 years, Lamar Holland, longtime building contractor; her parents; and youngest daughter, Deborah; her brothers, J. I., Reno and Lewis Burlison; sister, Annie Mae Henry; and son-in-law, Harry B. King.

Survivors include her children, Aquilla King of Hattiesburg, David Holland and wife, Barbara, Carolyn Roberts and husband, Frank, Mary Ann Warren and husband, Jerry, Glen Holland, and Sharman Hart and husband, Jerry, all of Natchez, Charles Holland and wife, Rita, of Pensacola, Fla., Patricia Pace and husband, Wayne, of McComb; brother, Horace Burlison of Pascagoula; grandchildren, Tammy King, Mary Taylor, Aaron King, Jarvis King, Denise Anding, Connie Mohon, Lynne Edwards, Reggie Roberts, Holly Kendrick, Chris Warren, Chel Rodriguez, Cara Fryer, Dylan Holland, Denny Oladipupo, Elizabeth “Nikki” Pace, Tara Johnston, Glen Pace Jr. and Chad Gamberi; her grandchildren gave her 33 wonderful great-grandchildren and she became a great-great-grandmother two years ago.

The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
