Arthur Grady Stevenson died Saturday, May 12, 2007, in Vidalia.

Grady lived hard and played hard. He was a drummer and tympani player who once got a standing ovation while playing in the Alaskan Symphony. He was a cat lover and a landscape painter who enjoyed Carl Sagan and discussing string theory with his daughter. Their last conversation was about the afterlife and how there is so much more to life and death than that which we can see. Here’s to Grady, and his new life on the other side of the string.

Grady was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Griffin Stevenson formerly of Vidalia.
