Graveside services for Martha Jane Nichols Cupit, 50, of Natchez, who died Thursday, May 24, 2007, in Ferriday, will be 2 p.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Terry L. Upchurch officiating.

Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:40 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cupit was born Jan. 5, 1957, in Natchez, the daughter of Jake Leon Nichols Sr. and Ruby Marie Knight Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, James D. Cupit of Natchez; her father, Jake L. Nichols of Natchez; her son, Shawn Michael Cupit and wife, Amy, of Natchez; a granddaughter, Vega Kellilyn Cupit of Natchez; brothers, Jake Leon Nichols Jr. and Jody Alan Nichols, both of Natchez and Jeff Nichols of Baton Rouge; sisters, Lois Nichols Griffin of Chinook, Mont. and Judith Lynne Nichols of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Fred Morris, Robbie Cloy, Tim Cupit Jr., Jeff Tucker, Mike Hazlip and Joey Scott.

The family requests that memorials be given to a charity of choice.
