The Mississippi Department of Human Services will conduct an adoption and foster care recruitment session 10 a.m. June 16 at the Franklin County Library.

The session will provide information to those who want to learn the benefits of and steps it takes to adopt a child, Family Protection Specialist Andrea Brown said Thursday.

“We get so many people asking us how they become foster parents and adopt,” Brown said.

The session is not just for Franklin County residents, she sad.

“Anyone in the area — from Pike, Adams or Lincoln counties — can come,” she said.
