NATCHEZ — Services for Laurine Guice Warren, 95, of Biloxi, formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, in Biloxi, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Brandt Dick officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at Kuehnle Hall at the church.

Mrs. Warren was born Sept. 10, 1912, in Broken Bow, Okla., the daughter of Laurin J. and Johnnie Pegram Guice.

She spent her younger years in Fayette. She attended nurses training in Natchez, took state board examinations and became a Registered Nurse. She met Sidney Holt Warren in Natchez and they were married at her parent’s home in Fayette. Mrs. Warren was an active member for more than 70 years at Trinity Episcopal Church. While at Trinity, she was a member of the vestry, serving a term as senior warden. She was also active in St. Cecelia Guild, Tuesday Prayer Group and taught Sunday School. Laurine held memberships in Pilgrimage Garden Club and Natchez Chapter of DAR.

Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Holtz Warren; siblings, Claude W. Guice and Katharine Guice; a grandson, David; and a son-in-law.

Survivors include son, Will Warren and wife, Jeanette, both of Pascagoula; daughter, Katharine Garner of Ripley, Tenn.; grandchildren, John Sidney and Susan Warren, Ann Poole, Mitch and John William Warren, Tom Garner and Amy Garner Stanton; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tom Garner, John William Warren, John Sidney Warren, Mitch Warren, John Ball and Duncan McFarlane.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jerry Iles, Dr. Bob Barnes, Bobby Russ, Trippy Shields, Charles Sullivan, Alan Warren, Chandler Warren, John Warren and Bob Owens.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
