Swoveland receives honor at Co-Lin

NATCHEZ — Psychology instructor Joe Swoveland was selected as the latest recipient of the Copiah-Lincoln Community College High Performance Award, the highest honor an employee can receive at the Natchez campus.
Swoveland was given the award by surprise by Co-Lin President Howell C. Garner.
Swoveland has been a Co-Lin instructor since 2002, when he was hired as an adjunct psychology instructor. He was hired full-time last fall.
He has been in private practice since 1997.
He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1991 and his master’s in 1993. He graduated with highest honors at USM.
At Co-Lin he also is a member of Team Co-Lin, the Relay for Life team. Swoveland is a resident of Vidalia.
