FERRIDAY — Services for Maude Ella Williams, 78, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles G. Chandler officiating.
Burial will follow at Maitland Cemetery, in Foules, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Williams was born April 24, 1929, in St. Joseph, the daughter of Rowan and Amy Wade Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Wells; a son, Curtis Wells; brother, Nathaniel Williams; sisters, Rose Alice Washington and Patricia Ann Williams.
Survivors include her sons, Glen Williams and wife, Viola, of Houston, Texas and John Wells and wife, Sybil, of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Karen Wells of Clayton; brothers, Rowan Williams, Leon Williams and Dave Williams, all of New Orleans, Alex Williams, Mack Williams and George Williams, all of Clayton and Eddie Williams of Baton Rouge; sisters, Amanda Williams and Amie Williams, both of New Orleans, Cora Webb and Johnnie Fudge, both of California, Mary Snyder of Detroit, Mich., and Nettie Williams of Baton Rouge; a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
