VIDALIA — Services for Phyllis C. Savant, 79, of Robertsdale, Ala., formerly of Vidalia, who died Friday, July 6, 2007, at Robertsdale Healthcare Center, in Robertsdale, will be 11 a.m. today at Vidalia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barry Dennis officiating.

Graveside services and burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, in Clinton, at 3 p.m. under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at Vidalia Methodist Church.

Mrs. Savant was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Sumner, Neb., the daughter of Harry Nathaniel and Hazel Knox Lahm. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Vidalia United Methodist Church. Mrs. Savant worked for many years with Concordia Parish School District as well as Natchez Veterinary Clinic.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Frank Burton Savant.

Survivors include her daughter, Valonne Harmon of Daphne, Ala.; sons, Kim Savant and wife, Judy, of Gulfport, Tommy Savant of Canton and Dr. Robert Savant and wife, Kay, of Natchez; grandchildren, Shelly Mahoney, Bradley Harmon, both of Daphne, Ala., Jack, Harrison and Annie Caroline Savant, all of Madison, Kasey Kelly and Brandy Savant, both of Gulfport, Carol Loy of Vidalia and Heath Savant of Baton Rouge; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Murl Lahm and wife, Delores, of Kearney, Neb., Glenn Lahm of Big Lake, Minn., Stanley Lahm and wife, Lucille, of Ames, Iowa, Roger Lahm and wife, Karen, of Spirit Lake, Iowa; sisters, Naoma Newquist of Kearney, Neb., Ilia Wright and husband, Dale of Elm Creek, Neb., Connie Hansen and husband, Robert, of Prospect Heights, Ill.

Pallbearers will be Heath Savant, Bradley Harmon, Josh Loy, Gary Parnham, Bill Darsey, and Kenny Isbell.

Memorials may be made to Vidalia United Methodist Church or Adams County Humane Society.
