Jewell earns continuing education medical credits

VIDALIA — Dr. David J. Jewell, affiliated with Riverpark Medical Center, has recently participated in several continuing medical education courses that awarded him a total of 42 Category 1 credits toward the American Medical Associations’ Physician Recognition Award.
He has successfully completed The American Roentgen Ray Society’s Neuroradiology review courses (Modules 1-4), awarding him with 20 Category 1 credits. The American Roentgen Ray Society was founded in 1900 and is the first and oldest radiology society in the United States.
Jewell also has recently completed courses on contrast-enhanced musculoskeletal imaging and knee pain, MRI of sports injuries sponsored by ArcMesa Educators and Applied Radiology which are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, awarding Jewell with seven Category 1 credits.
Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, Jewell has over 20 years of experience in diagnostic body imaging. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his Radiology Residency Program at Charity Hospital of Louisiana in New Orleans. Jewell also completed a fellowship in body imaging from Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
