Zenobia Webber

CHENEYVILLE, La. — Graveside services for Zenobia Jones Webber, 95, of Irving, Texas, formerly of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Cemetery in Cheneyville.

Burial will follow under the direction of Bowers Funeral Home, Teague, Texas.

Mrs. Webber was the eighth of 11 children and the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Dotson Jones of Sandridge, Okla. She and her husband were one of the first families to purchase a home in Ridgecrest Subdivision. Mrs. Webber was a charter member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where she served as Youth Sunday School Director and teacher for many years. She was loved by the children and many were brought to Christ because of her love for them.

She was preceded in death her husband, Virgil Webber; a son, Robert Preston Webber; great-granddaughter, Elise Ann Webber; and son-in-law, Travis Miller.

Survivors include her daughters, Faye Dean Smith and husband, Jim, of San Antonio, Texas, Joan Miller of Crosby, Texas, Patricia Webber of Irving, Texas, Gloria Powell and husband, Jim, of Cheneyville; daughter-in-law, Margaret Webber of Monroe; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
