Eddie B. Mazique

March 17, 1917 – July 29, 2007

SIBLEY — Services for Eddie B. Mazique, 90, of Sibley, who died Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Trace Haven Health and Rehab, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Rehoboth Church of God in Christ with Elder Elijah Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Masonic rites will also be from 6 to 6:30 at the funeral home.

Mr. Mazique was born March 17, 1917, in Adams County, the son of Forea Mazique Sr. and Dicey Hughes Mazique. He was employed with the Corps of Engineers in New Orleans for over 34 years. He was a member of the University Home Support Society No. 1, John G. Jones, Masonic Lodge No. 3 and Queen Ester, Order of Eastern Star. He was also a member of Rehoboth Church of God in Christ.

He was preceded in death by her parents; his wife, Sarah E. Mazique; son, Ernest Mazique; brothers, Richard Mazique, Rudolph Mazique and Forea Mazique.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie King Mazique of Sibley; son, Eddie Mazique and wife, Susan, both of St. Bruno, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Doris S. Mazique of Chicago; grandchildren, Treva Mazique, Lisa Huell and husband, Ricky, of Winona and Ernest Mazique; great-grandchildren, Travee Huell and Cameron Huell, both of Winona; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Masons.
