VIDALIA — Services for Mary Taylor Piper, 85, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, in Vidalia, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Young’s Funeral Home, Vidalia, with the Rev. Brandt Dick officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Vidalia.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Piper was born April 30, 1922, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Murdock Taylor and Ruby Taylor. She was a secretary for Dr. Polk for 30 years. Mrs. Piper was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Natchez.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Williams Reeves and Robert “Bob” Piper; her parents; a brother, Kenneth Taylor; and granddaughter, Sandi Reeves.

Survivors include her daughter, Martha Raji of Vidalia; a son, Hank Reeves and wife, June, of Mer Rouge, La.; granddaughter, Roberta Wilson and husband, Robert, of Lake St. John; grandsons, Robert Reeves of Vidalia and Jason and Travis Ward; great-grandsons, Taylor and Dylan Reeves and Jacob Wilson; and a brother, Murdock Taylor Jr. and wife, Mary Katherine, of Jefferson County.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
