MURRAY, Ky. — Services for Edith Archer Garrison, 80, of Murray, Ky., who died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 at her residence, will be 10:30 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church, in Murray, with the Rev. Richard Smith and Dr. Larry Daniel officiating.
Burial will follow at Murray City Cemetery under the direction of J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Garrison was born May 23, 1927, in Memphis, Tenn., the daughter of Hester Lynn Archer and 1932-Willie Lea Patterson Archer. She was a homemaker. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Murray.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Hazel Archer; brother Lynn Archer; and grandchild William Houston Garrison.
Survivors include her husband, James E. Garrison of Murray; daughters, Beth Johnson and husband Dr. Mike of Ownesboro, Ky. and Nancy Garrison of Natchez; son, David Garrison and wife Sylvia of Murray; sister, Corinne Williams of Memphis; sister-in-law, Dorothy Archer of Memphis; grandchildren, Andrew Johnson and wife Libby and Dr. Matthew Johnson, all of Ownesboro, Ky., Walter Garrison and wife Cecelia of Louisville, Ky., Rachel Corinne Garrison and Sarah Kathryn Garrison, both of Murray.
